8/18/18 Kansas

Truck and trailer problems delayed my departure until yesterday afternoon. Tonight I’m camping in Tuttle Creek State Park, Kansas,  just north of Manhattan on Route 77.
Last night I camped at Long Branch State Park in Missouri. This morning there was an educational program there on the Missouri mountain lion. I didn’t go to the program, but while I was cleaning up my breakfast dishes, the ranger drove up to my campsite, took out his camera, and nearly ran into me! I thought maybe he saw a moutain lion, but no...my Scamp trailer was the cause of his excitement!!  He wanted to know all about it and take pictures of it to show his wife and put on the Missouri State Parks website! This afternoon it attracted a group of women in Kansas who wanted me to agree to be part of their parade and back to school activities planned for tomorrow! Needless to say I declined their offer.
